Dream

...and he was soon diffusing
into the morning aisle,
I pulled the sheet above my face,
to hold him for a while.

I wished so much for a minute or two,
to dream again the charming you.
Alas! the moments were fading fast,
Not even for a while to last.

Stranger you must come back again,
for a longer time you must remain,
And let me into this mystical air,
tonight and tomorrow in one more prayer.

Is it like this that two individuals separated from each other through thousands of miles and who don’t even know each other but still think or rather dream the same dream, more so at the same time and one of them expresses it and the other one relives the expression or is it that all of us have dreamt this dream at least once but are not well conversant with ourselves so as to realize the importance of its expression………………both the perspectives seem equally probable…………wish one day we can discuss the vagaries of life face to face…………..right now all I can say is that somehow your blog has re-instilled in me the faith that I am not wrong.

BTW while I am posting this comment Jagjit Singh’s Mitti Da Bawa is playing in the background. Have you ever heard the song? A soulful composition indeed!

@r: Thanks :) feels nice to know that atleast some enjoy my random thought process.
I hadn't heard that Ghazal before. Listened to it just a couple of minutes back. Music is wonderful, but unfortunately lyrics are in Punjabi and I dont understand a bit of that. :) May be you should translate it for me.
